Description

A stone house in the Old Town required the demolition of all floor structures in the process of reconstruction, cutting of plaster from walls, stripping of internal staircase and
dismantling of old openings. The new inter-storey structures were constructed in conjunction,
with a combination of wood and concrete. The staircase is lined with polished stone. Parts of walls
were necessary to seal (worn-out stone was replaced) and stone gaps that remained visible were filed. New stone pins have been installed around the windows, new wooden openings were custom made and stone sleepers and benches at openings were installed. Roof construction was made of laminated beams, which remained visible at the request of the investor, to give the newly renovated space an extra sense of warmth.
